03/17/2008 - SLT Secures Two Grants for Sears Point Project
The Sonoma Land Trust and Sonoma County Regional Parks are the recipients of a $1 million federal grant through the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) to fund construction of two major wildlife habitat restoration projects in the North Bay. An additional $50,000 grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) has been awarded to the Sonoma Land Trust and the San Pablo National Wildlife Refuge to support the building of a pavilion devoted to environmental education at Sears Point. more...

03/19/2007 - Sears Point Wetlands & Watershed Restoration Plan
Sonoma Land Trust today released the Sears Point Wetlands and Watershed Restoration Plan. The project provides the only remaining opportunity for the entire shoreline of San Francisco Bay to restore a complete transition from tidal marsh along San Pablo Bay up to the toe of Sonoma Mountain. 09/26/2006 - SLT Files Suit to Prevent Dumping of Dredge Material
Sonoma Land Trust filed a lawsuit in Sonoma County Superior Court on Friday, September 22, to stop the privately owned Port Sonoma marina from dumping dredge material on a scenic 528 acre ranch along Highway 37 near the mouth of the Petaluma River. The ranch, known as Lower Ranch, is protected with a conservation easement that permanently restricts the use of the land to agriculture.more...
